21/05 Thatcham Marsh LNR

Location: Thatcham Marsh LNR CES 3 of 12
Session: 21/05/2022 06:00 to 11:00hrs
Notes: Just three Sedge Warblers the other seem to have moved on. The first juveniles, a Great Tit family party with youngsters recently out of the nest. A party of five  Blue Tits consisted of adults only although they appeared to be breeding having BPs or CPs. Many of the Reed Warblers were new birds not yet showing signs of breeding. Few birds out on the main reed bed, the majority seem to prefer the reedy scrub east of the stream. Numbers are down for Reed and Sedge Warblers compared to CES 2021.03 visit.
