Juvenile Treecreeper

Notes:  The session started very slow with few birds ringed, however the penultimate round of the session doubled the capture.and made the capture respectable by recent years standards. Very different numbers-wise in comparison with last week’s non-CES audio aided session; shows what maybe lurking unseen in the foliage. The unseasonable “cold” and windy weather seems to have affected breeding on the reed bed this year in addition to the general decline of the last few years.

Weather: sunny, cool, calm early breezy later.
Nets: 198M reed bed ride up from 06:30 to 10:30hrs

Sighting: No Swift or hirundine over today. A Raven call several time in the distance from south of the railway. No Great Tit? A high flying Holly Blue was the best sighting for me.
