early clearing to sunny periods, light breeze, cool.

Rides, 18M, 18M and 12M up from 08:00 to 10:30hrs.
Lures: (BC-CC-WW-GW-WH-LW-GC-FC), (W-WC-SF-RZ-TP),
(FF-RE), (RT-YB-GC-FC) intermittently.
One of the two Blackcaps ringed today - a 1st year male
Notes: A steady flow of birds today, included the
sixth Firecrest of the season here. Yesterday was dominated by Blackcap whereas
today Chiffchaff was the main species.Recaptures: (03)
Blue Tit ringed: 21/07/2023

Sightings: More movement included several high flying thrushes – Blackbird, Song Thrush and the Mistle
Thrushes dropped down from fairly high up, also one or two other thrushes went
unidentified but were probably Song Thrush, all from there action likely to be
from northern climes. The Skylarks flew over west also high up. More Swallows
going south as were the House Martins. A few non-passerine species over mostly
early in the session.
