16/02 Bagnor Feeder

Location: Bagnor Feeder visit 08 of 10
Session: 16-Feb-2018 07:50 to 11:20hrs
Headlines:  A slow session today with a steady capture of one or two each round. As it was a mild warm sunny day many birds were on territory and singing. The first Blue and Great Tits didn’t come to the feeder until just before 09:00. All were new birds except two Blue Tits and the Dunnock. I thought we had a poor morning until I looked up how we did on the matching session from last winter. It was a lovely day though, warm in the sun, good to be out and about, a reminder of the hopefully better weather to come.
Weather: Bright, sunny, ground frost early, warm and spring like later
Present: JL, IW
Nets: 12metres, a 6m net each side of feeder up from 08:10 to 11:10hrs
Lure (feeder): peanut, black sunflower, fat balls, niger
