01/07 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure
Session: 01-Jul-2018 07:00 to 10:20hrs
Headlines: The capture today is similar to recent visits here. As this and last visit had no recaptures it is probably an indication that the return migration is beginning. We ringed on the 30-June-2017 and the difference probably reflects that fewer birds bred  in the area this year and the Redstart was good. As far as I can tell the Magpie is the fourth one I have ever ringed out of 50 that the group has ringed.
Probably time to dust off the audio ready for the next session.
Weather: bright, strong sun, hot, breezy
Present: JL. IW
Nets: 48metres in three rides of 18M, 18M, 12M up from 07:15 to 10:00hrs
Lure (none):
