Session:
Headlines: Another reasonable
session dominated by Whitethroat this time. Compared to yesterday there were few phylos
warblers about. A juvenile Stonechat require a read of the reference books before deciding it was a female. It is interesting to compare the difference in species
profile and numbers between adjacent sessions.
Weather: bright, sunny, light
breeze, warm
Present: JL, IW, RJC
Nets: 48metres in threes of
18M, 18M, 12M up from 07:15 to 10:00hrs
Lure (audio): Blackcap,
Chiffchaff, Goldcrest, Firecrest, Willow Warbler, Garden Warbler, Whitethroat,
Lesser Whitethroat, Redstart intermittently

Ian picked up a Greenfinch in the treeline today after me thinking they had gone from the site, soaring Buzzards notable as there are not as many about here this year.
