Sightings 31 Species: We heard the
first Water Rail of the season on this visit. We don’t think they bred in the vicinity
of the standard net ride as they have done for most of the life of the CES. Unsurprising
since more than half of the reed was cut; it is now about waist high, so the
rails now have somewhere to hide.
