Session:
Notes: A little less busy
than yesterday. After the thunderstorm’s during the night I hope that
something interesting might have been forced down but maybe next time. The Greenfinch
ring serial numbers were close to yesterday’s Greenfinch that we ringed and I
almost released it at the net! A few less sylvia and phylos warblers today
except we had a goodish capture of Whitethroats. Six plus Stonechats flew into
the enclosure. One perched on a mist net pole and another attempted to land on
the net top shelf string; managed to capture two others; both moulting juveniles.
The Swallow audio did call at least one down but from the alarm calls it
bounced out of the net; one of three seen all through the session.
