Session: 08-Sep-2019 07:00 to 11:10hrs
Notes: A steady session with
lots more Blackcaps on the move again, and included a 80mm winged individual
and one the weighed 22.6 grams. We missed a couple of Reed Buntings that were
able to get out of the nets before we could get to them. Many birds stayed in
the scrub and did not venture out on the reed bed. Although a good capture not
as good as last year’s matching visit.
Weather: sunny period, cool
warm in the sun, calm.
Present: JL, IW, DL
Nets: 28metres in two rides
of 198m, 30m, up from 07:30 to 10:30hrs
Lure (audio): misc. migrants,
warblers, aquatic warbler, reed bunting intermittently
