Session: 24Oct-2019 07:35to 11:30hrs
Notes: Guess what this is. Couldn’t believe what I
saw when I notice it in the bottom shelf of the net. Radde’s Warblers don’t
turn up inland do they? Left the Redwing in the net just above it that I went
to the net for when I saw a species that looked very different from the phylos
I first thought it to be. It looked like it was very near to escaping so I
quickly took it out of the net.. My first thoughts were for it to be a Radde’s,
but we were not completely sure until we checked several books. Just because I
couldn’t ring yesterday when the weather was perfect for ringing, I made an
effort this morning despite the weather forecast for rain (that didn't materialise).

ID photos of Radde's Warbler that came from Siberia?
Sightings 29 Species: Excepting
the obvious it was quiet on the common, the Dartford was quite noisy though and
flitting about for much of the morning. Fieldfare still just one or two birds, Redwings mostly going south-west still. Never expected
to add Radde’s Warbler to my Berkshire list!
