Session: 07-Jan-2020 07:55 to
11:30hrs
Notes: A steady capture
session with time to check-out the field and cress bed. I was expecting more
Goldfinch as a small flock has been at the feeder in recent days but except for
lone individuals they did not arrive while we were there. The Greenfinch was a
surprise as they are few and far between here in recent years. Once they were a
major constituent of most sessions. Quite enjoyable especially when
the sun came out.
Weather: mostly overcast with
some sunny periods, cool, calm.
Present: JL, IW
Nets: 12metres in 2 nets one
6M each side of feeders up from 08:00 to 11:00hrs
Lure (Feeder):Peanut, Black
Sunflower, Niger, Fat Balls
