19/01 Snelsmore Common

Location: Snelsmore Feeder

Session: 19-Jan-2020 07:40 to 11:15hrs

Notes: A reasonable capture with some good re-traps including a 2014 Blue Tit and a Blue Tit pulli ringed 09/05/2017 in box D01 at Mount Hill on the Bagnor Estate. Not quite a match for last year’s visit and a definite lack of species variety. It was the first frosty cold day since November, and I was glad to get home in the warm; I  suspect we all were.

Weather: sunny, frosty, cold, calm.

Nets: 12metres in 2 nets one 6M each side of feeders up from 08:00 to 11:00hrs

Sightings 22 Species: Not much about, list done mostly from memory so probably missed a few. The Sparrowhawk bounced out of the net, just to the left of Ian’s head, while we were taking birds out of the net.
