29/12 Greenham Common

Notes: A very quiet session today, the first birds didn’t arrive at the feeder until 08:30hrs. Nine of the capture were from a gorse scrub net away from the feeder. The matching visit is early in the second half of the month and not a good match. It does show that this feeder is not performing as well as the other feeders, not sure why. The nearest woodland apart from a tree belt along the road is Bowdown NR about 800metres away with several bird feeder house nearby so perhaps this feeder is not the draw it one was. I know that some copied the menu.
Weather: cloudy, cold and dank, light breeze.
