24/07 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure

Notes: Conditions initially a little better today but still not many migrants about. Finally ringed one of the several Green Woodpeckers flying around the enclosure for the last couple of weeks. Another poor session compared to last year’s matching visit.

Weather: cloudy with some blue, warm, SW light breeze growing stronger towards the end of the session

Nets: 48metres in 3 net rides, two 18M and one 12M net up from 07:30 to 10:30hrs

Lure (Audio): Warbler, Misc Migrants, Redstart, intermittently.

Sightings 28 Species: Maybe the last Swift of the year here?
