28/08 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure
Session: 28-Aug-2020, 07:30 to 10:50hrs
Notes: Ideal Conditions again today with a threat of rain that didn’t materialise.  Chiffchaff and Willow Warblers seemed to be on the move in particular, many phylos feeding in the surrounding gorse. Two Chiffchaffs ringed on the same day 3rd Jun this year is interesting; wonder where they have been since ringing? A reasonable capture by this year’s standards to date but no where near last year’s matching visit total. Blue Tit numbers are well down and haven’t seen Long-tailed Tit for some time.

1st CY Willow Warbler
