09/10 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure Week 41
Session: 09-Oct-2020, 07:30 to 11:20hrs
Notes: When I looked at the forecast Wednesday, for the rest of this week, it looked wet and windy, so todays fine weather was a bonus. Unfortunately, the clear sky produced few birds.
Present:  JL,IW
Weather: Bright, clear, cool, calm early, cloudy with sunny periods as the session progressed. Strong blustery westerly breeze from about 10:00hrs.
Nets: 48metres in 3 net rides, two 18M and a 12M net up from 08:00 to 11:00hrs
Lure (Audio):
Warblers, Misc Migrants, Autumn, Thrushes, SK/LR, Yellow-browed Warbler intermittently.
Recaptures: (none)
Sightings 36 Species: Three House Martins over. Three Song Thrush out on the heath, probably not local. A Goldcrest got out of the net, a second Blackcap was in the southeast scrub and more Skylarks going west-ish.

Below is a table showing species ringed for week 41 2016 to 2020
