15/10 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure Week 42
Session: 15-Oct-2020, 07:45 to 11:20hrs
Notes: More Redwings, two Blackcaps, a Chiffchaff, some Goldcrests and the first meadow Pipit of the year captured.
Present:  JL,IW
Weather: Cloudy with sunny periods, cool, light to moderate west-north-west breeze.
Nets: 48metres in 3 net rides, two 18M and a 12M net up from 08:00 to 11:00hrs
Lure (Audio): BC-CC-FC-CC, Autumn, Thrushes, SK-LR, Yellow-browed Warbler intermittently.
Recaptures: (none)
Sightings 34 Species: A steady flow of Redwings over west northwest into the wind for most of the morning; no Fieldfares though, Three Goldcrest dropped from out of the sky into the trees on the margin of the wood, then flew quite high over the heath and enclosure to the southern tree line. Skylarks mostly flying about or flying west. Three Swallows through south was unexpected.
