Common Western Enclosure Week 37
Session: 13/09/2021, 07:30 to 11:00hrs
Notes: A steady trickle of Chiffchaffs through this morning, also two Goldcrest, and
a latish
Lesser Whitethroat for added interest. Extracting a flock of Blue Tits
hardened up the fingers!

Weather: overcast, light easterly breeze early, blustery
swinging to northeast later, cool,
Nets: 48metres in 3 rides
of 18M, 18M, 12M up from 08:00 to 10:30hrs
Lures Audio: Audio – Sylvia and
Phylos Warblers, Crests, Yellow-browed Warbler, Redstart,
Recaptures:(01)
Wren ringed: 23/08/2021
Sightings: Some activity to the south of the enclosure included Blackcaps, Long-tailed
Tits,
and some unidentified finches, either Goldfinch or Linnets but not sure
as seen against the
sky as black outlines. The Long-tailed Tits returned to the
woodland to the south where they
came from unfortunately. The Woodlarks were
singing when we arrived and began again as
we left.
