21/09 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure Week 38
Session: 21/09/2021, 07:30 to 10:50hrs
Notes: A better session than yesterday. It looks like the main return summer migration has
peaked for Blackcap and hopefully there maybe a few more Chiffchaff to come. Also, Goldcrest
numbers should be picking up and then for winter thrushes/finches etc if they come this far
south!
Present: JL,IW
Weather: Sunny, cool, warm later, calm
Nets: 48metres in 3 rides of 18M, 18M, 12M up from 07:50 to 10:30hrs
Lures Audio:  Sylvia and Phylos Warblers, Crests, Yellow-browed Warbler, Meadow Pipit,
Scarce Summer Migrants (chats, pipits, thrushes etc)

Recaptures:(01)

Chiffchaff                 ringed: 15/07/2021

Sightings: First Mistle Thrushes for a while, called in some Meadow Pipits but disturbed by a
member of the public before they could settle in, two Raven flew north along the treeline.
