Location:
Greenham Common Western Enclosure (wk29)
Session: 20/07/2022 07:30
to 10:45hrs
Notes: After the
excessive heat of the last few day when conditions not good for the birds it
was nice to go out today. Three Willow Warblers and six Chiffchaff all juveniles
were in fresh-ish plumage particularly two of the former that were bright
unmistakeable birds. Two out of habitat Reed Warblers confirm migration is
underway. We ringed three of the four juvenile Stonechats seen. Interestingly
about a third of the birds ringed were not species we were luring into the enclosure.
