05/09 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure (wk36)
Session: 05/09/2022 08:00 to 11:30hrs
Notes: Late start, couldn't get the lock box code to work so had to wait for Garry to arrive. Mostly Blackcaps again and a few Chiffchaffs on the move. Given the number of Blackcaps ringed over the last couple of weeks it was inevitable that one from Thatcham Marsh LNR would be re-trapped at Greenham Common.
Present: JL,IQ
Weather: sunny early then overcast for most of the session, calm then light breeze, warm and clammy.
Nets: 48metres 3 Rides, 18M, 18M and 12M up from 08:15 to 10:45 hrs
Lures: Warblers, Misc Migrants, Grasshopper Warbler, Redstart, intermittently.

Recaptures: (01)

Blackcap                  ringed: 28/08/2022 (Thatcham Marsh LNR)

Sightings: A singing Woodlark usual for this time of year, a least two Dartford Warblers active around the enclosure, probably missed a few species.
