11/10 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure (wk41)
Session: 11/10/2022 07:45 to 11:00hrs
Notes: A few more Chiffchaffs to add to the seasons totals, some Goldcrest and a lone Blackcap. Didn’t play the Reed Bunting lure today and we ringed one. A very nice day once the sun came up and warmed it up a bit.

Weather: clear blue sky cold early warm in the sun, calm.
Nets: 48metres 3 Rides, 18M, 18M and 12M up from 08:00 to 10:30hrs
Lures: BC-CC-FC-GC, Thrushes, Yellow-browed Warbler, Siskin/Redpoll, intermittently.

Recaptures: (none)


Sightings: There was a steady movement of Jackdaw, quite high, flying west in flocks of up to 22 for some of the period. Still just the odd Redwing about, no flocks yet. Woodlarks singing almost continuously high over Sandleford Heath and the Bunker compound.
