14/07 Greenham Common

Location: Greenham Common Western Enclosure Week 28
Session: 14/07/2021, 07:05 to 10:50hrs
Notes: Much warmer today but unfortunately accompanied by strong breeze so one or two bounced out of the nets. Captures were steady, mostly Blackcap and Chiffchaff on the move.

Weather: bright sunny some cloud, warm, breezy.
Nets: 48metres in 3 rides of 18M, 18M, 12M up from 07:40 to 10:30hrs
Lures Audio: Warblers and Misc Migrants, Hirundine, Redstart, Residents

Recaptures:(NONE)

Sightings 27 species: The Dartford Warbler was again very vocal mid-morning then moved off. Woodlarks appeared after not being detected since the 29th Jun. Otherwise not much visible movement over the heath.  No Magpies again, moulting perhaps!
