19/02 Snellsmore Common Feeder

Location: Snelsmore Common Feeder Winter CES 2022/23.08
Session: 19/02/2023 07:30 to 11:15hrs
Notes: A pleasant session in the spring-like weather. A steady flow of birds increasing in numbers towards the end of the session. Many bird probably spending time territory before coming to the feeders. A 5+ year old Blue Tit is a good re-trap. We managed to get to the net before the Sparrowhawk, an adult male escaped.

Weather: cloudy early clearing to bright sunny, warm, calm.
Nets: 12M, 2 rides 6M each side of feeder up from 08:00 to 11:00hrs
Lures: Feeders – Fat Balls, Black Sunflower Seed, Peanuts.
Adult Male Sparrowhawk (note the eye protectors)
