Notes: Was scheduled to ring here yesterday but the weather forecast was for rain, so we decided not to bother. This morning’s dawn was bright and sunny so decided to give it a go today. Feeder up-take has slowed markedly over the last ten days so expectations were low. Nice to ring a Goldcrest at the feeder, they usually turn up when we put nets up in the nearby gorse scrub.

Weather: sunny and bright, calm, cool early warm later.
Nets: 12Metres, 2 rides 6M each side of feeder up from 08:00 to 11:00hrs
Lures: Feeders –Black Sunflower Seed, Niger.

Sightings: not much flying over and nothing much to see, the only returning migrants so far here

being singing Chiffchaff.
