30/07 Thatcham Marsh LNR

Notes:  The reed bed looked very quiet when we were putting the nets up. As it was a non-CES weekend we tried a session using audio. It is surprising what is lurking unseen. Plenty of  Blackcap on the move also a few Garden Warbler, Chiffchaff, a Whitethroat and a 2019 (5 years). Blue Tit. We had quite a busy morning managing to get a session in before the weather closed in, and it began to drizzle.

Weather: mostly overcast, warm, strong breeze
Nets: 198M reed bed ride up from 07:00 to 10:30hrs
Lures: BC-CC-WW-GW-WH-LW-GC-FC, W-WC-SF-RZ-TP,  AQ, RT intermittently.

Sighting: A single Swift over, also a Shoveler and some Brown Hawkers in the nets. As we were busy  probably missed a few.
